On Monday evening, Nov. 24, Bountiful held its annual tree lighting ceremony at the post office plaza on Main Street.
Several choirs from the local middle and high schools sang Christmas carols, the crowd joined in a few too, and then Mayor Kendalyn Harris led a countdown to light the tree.
After the tree was lit, Santa Claus himself pulled up on his sleigh (a firetruck with lights blazing) to share a short Christmas message. The he led a group down to Mae’s Gathering Place for some hot chocolate.
