A groundbreaking ceremony was held at noon Friday for a new hotel development near the Culver’s on 500 West.
The project will bring an 87-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott International to the area, spanning approximately 52,402 square feet.
Mayor Kate Bradshaw, along with members of the city council, attended the event to mark the start of construction.
