The Bountiful Redhawks fell against the Olympus Titans, 4-2 in Game 3 of a three game series. The Titans claimed the series win, 2-1.
Friday afternoon’s game was played at the new Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark on the University of Utah campus.
The Titans took the first lead after two scoreless innings, bringing home the first run of the game at the top of the third. The Redhawks responded, however, equalizing to close the inning.
Olympus High regained and extended its lead in the fourth inning and held off Bountiful. Despite pulling one back in the bottom of the fifth, the Redhawks would be undone by Titan’s fourth at the top of the sixth.
Olympus High recorded nine hits and zero errors through the game. Bountiful High earned seven hits and one error.
The Redhawks baseball team now head to Woods Cross for a three game series against the Wildcats beginning Tuesday, April 14.
